What Do Corvette Owners Use for a Grocery Getter?

Corvettes are generally just big, powerful toys. They are a second, or sometimes third car in your stable. So what type of grocery-getter fills up those other stalls? Turns out there’s quite a wide variety of cars that our fellow Corvette Forum members drive when the toy is tucked away. German cars, American Cars, Korean cars, SUVs, trucks, sedans. That said, there’s an understandable bias toward having another GM unit in the stable.

The benefit of a daily driver is insurmountable. The kids can get in it and spill their cereal, soda, and candies without it being the end of the world. And the family pets can clamor in there as well. A daily can extend its oil change by a couple hundred miles because you’re too busy, and can go weeks without a wash.

As you can see in this thread, some of our members have rather nice grocery-getters, though. An engine swapped CTS-V, an Audi, a Camaro convertible, and even another Corvette, in one instance. So would you get a workhorse as your second car, or stick with something nice? Personally, I think member ShadowC4, who bought the Chevy SS above, has made a great life decision.
