C6 Z06 Question for Tadge Juechter

There is a reason I refuse to purchase a Ferrari. I refuse to buy a car that is so poorly engineered that the engine has to receive such massive "maintenance" every 2 years or 15,000 miles. That is a joke to me. I love Corvettes and Vipers because HISTORICALLY, you have always been able to drive them, enjoy them, even beat on them for 200,000 miles with nothing but oil changes. You see this with the LS3. The LS6. The LS1. The LT1. All generations of Vipers. You NEVER hear of any of those motors losing a valve. If you do, it is a very rare fluke, and I get that. But the LS7 valve issue has been terrible. And GMs ignoring of it has been even worse.

The question that killed Ask Tadge. "We're very sorry but Tadge is currently very busy with the next project for the C7 and it has been determined that he no longer has the time or resources to devote to "Ask Tadge". He thanks you all for your time and hopes to be back soon (uh huh...)."

Nothing will end this wonderful section unless and until Mr. Juechter no longer has time to participate in it. I don't know what answer is going to come from GM on this question (I haven't seen anything yet; when I do, it'll get posted), but I can only imagine that not everyone is going to be happy.
GM is, after all, a business. Not a charity. But that's my opinion and editorial on the matter; I don't speak for anyone at GM.

So now the 65536 dollar question is, "will another question be asked if THIS one goes unanswered"?
From a selfish point of view, I'd like to see us stand our ground and wait for an answer - but that position will cheat the reset of the CF community from Tadge's feedback on non LS-7 head topics..
And if you think about it, a lack of response probably says more than a corporate white-washed one ever could.

gm is a business not a charity
I haven't been on here long but that really pi**ed me off.I have sat back and read all there is about these heads and still haven't made my mind up on what I will do with mine.Waiting for a response from a company that has buried its head in the sand and released statements that make everyone on this site sound like ufo hunters is beyond me.I do not want any charity I want the quality car I PAID FOR!

They had to know this question was coming - they've had plenty of time to figure out a good answer, if there is one. Just keep sweeping it under the rug... just keep sweeping... just keep sweeping... ha. Will be interesting to see how they do eventually respond to this one.
I'll be failing a valve guide test here in a few months - well, as long as my motor doesn't die before then. It was right at the service limits back at 19k miles, so at 50k now - I'm sure things haven't improved, although it has surprisingly held together so far -
