Default PDR Video: Why is color balance and contrast so bad?

Why do all the PDR videos published to date have a distinct green cast and overall washed-out look? The camera hardware/firmware must allow for better calibration of color balance and white balance. How about a firmware update to fix the problem?

Example:

I agree. I had asked about it on the PDR chat they did on FB a while back but they primarily discussed why the output is 720p instead of 1080p. Now that you point out how much better the picture looks with the color balance adjusted I'm hoping we can get a fix.

What software did you use to adjust the color balance?

Final Cut Pro, but every video package has color controls.

Yep good one! And also why the PDR is not included in 3LZ package sold in Europe but you have to pay extra?

Best question of the 2 weeks. I vote for a land slide vote.

Crappy video of course of me horse laughing. This was of course after 30 or so 0-60 passes in the Zo6. Dang what a car.

Besides the color cast issues, my PDR videos have poor sharpness for 720p resolution. I wonder if I have a focus issue.

Poor focus?

I will admit this image quality looks pretty bad. Question though... can those same calibration settings apply to ALL PDR videos regardless of setting, ambient light, etc and have a similar enhancement? Post processing you can always dial in that perfect mixture which is just right for that specific video.

How is the low-light performance? It seems to be they might have given up some daytime color quality to have better low light performance, but I haven't seen any low light videos to confirm.

Looking forward to a response. They probably won't admit it, but I doubt Chevy has a lot of camera expertise in house.
