Many auto manufactures including GM does provide track edition cars. Example of that would be the Camaro Z28, Porsche GT3/ GT4, GT-R track edition, Shelby GT350R and Viper ACR.
Will we see a naturally aspirated track edition C7 based off of the Z51 or Z06?
Tracking cars on road courses is growing significantly in the US and there is no shortage of track events. With few upgrades, the C7 should be a great track car. Some the improvements should include the following:
_ Upgraded brakes that will not fade after few laps.
_ Larger radiator, better quality coolers for transmission, engine and rear differential.
_Aero package with large rear wing
_ Coilovers suspension.
Basically a C7 that can be competitive on the track and can complete a 30 to 40 minute run without any problems. I have spent over 10k on my Z51 for few track upgrades and that is only for cooling components and brakes. I would rather pay this extra money for a track edition C7.
You are asking GM (Tadge) to admit the current Z51 and Z06 are not track capable cars. I think it would be more useful to ask if GM will sell a track prep package for the cars it already sells to 'extend' their usefulness in high temps and for longer runs.

I am not asking anyone to admit anything. I already know what the C7 can and cannot do on the track and how it performs. I own one and I spent money to make it last 20 minutes sessions. I already know that it doesn't meet GM claim of running a full tank of gas on the track in 86F ambient temp. I really don't want to turn this question into a negative thing.
I am asking if GM would offer a track edition C7 since there are many advantages for the C7. The balance is great, motor, manual transmission, and rear differential are good. The C7 looks great. It needs better secondary components to make it last on the track. Cooling, brakes, some aero, and maybe get rid of the AFM valves which keeps on falling on the track from the heat generated by the exhaust. Instead of paying for Z51 package, we can more for track edition C7 with much better components.

And I am telling you they already offer a track edition car. You are asking for one that has a higher level of capability than what they currently offer.
If you ask the question in the way you have, Tadge has no way to respond other than a polite version of 'We already do, please see your Chevy dealer to order' Ask for what you want in different terms and Chevy might just offer it. They will not do so at the expense of loosing face on the existing cars and model marketing. You have to play the game to get what you want.

They wont loose face or anything like that. They are already doing it in providing track edition of the Camaro for example. Yon can buy a Camaro SS or you can buy the track version Z28. You can buy a dodge viper or the track edition ACR. You can buy GTR premium or GTR track edition. Same for Porsche, you can buy a Cayman or a track version Cayman (GT4). Most of these cars have the same powertrain which much better secondary components for track use.
Just look at it from this point of view. There is no C7 track edition (yet).
