Improving Paint Finish on C7
Original question is here.
RC000E asked:
Could you explain the factors/considerations/compromises that are made in determing the final paint finish on a Corvette versus its competition? Is the "orange peel" intended for durability (clear mil thickness) and has a hand finish dealer option ever been considered, etc?

Latest "Motor Trend" Test at Laguna Seca
Original question is here.
AliZ51 asked:
What is your take on Motor Trend latest head to head test against the ACR and GT3RS? The Z06 performed really well and made Corvette guys proud. MT pretty much loved everything about the Z06 with the exception of rear grip / oversteer issues. Randy said front grip was good but rear was very loose. Was the alignment checked on this car? Do you agree with Randy's comments that softening the rear will bring more grip for better corner entry/exit?

Water Temp Pocket Gauge in Z06
Original question is here.
jcthorne asked:
The instrument cluster in the Z06 will not allow engine water temp to be displayed as a pocket gauge. It is displayed as a numeric value in the tour mode info display but not available in sport or track at all.
I understand the base model has a physical water temp gauge where the Z06 boost gauge is so the choice made some sense for the base model but would really like to be able to have water temp as a pocket gauge in sport mode in my Z06.
Any way this could be added as a software update for the instrument cluster?

Can "Performance Shift Active" Explained
Original question is here.
AllFlash asked:
Under certain conditions, accelerating ones Corvette will trigger 'Performance Shift Active' on Corvettes and a number of changes are observed, least of which is a delayed changing of gears in the A8 while acceleration or deceleration is present. Can you explain exactly what changes the car experiences, whether it be engine, transmission or suspension while 'Performance Shift Activated'...is active?

Why is C7 Restricted to 190MPH
Original question is here.
efarley asked:
I am wondering why the C7 has a electronic speed governor set at 190 mph. Was it decided that 190 is just much safer than 195, or 200, or unrestricted? I think this is really strange to add this when the cars will only even hit 190 in perfect conditions without mods as 186 - 188 seems to be around the real world top speed.
Maybe the tires aren't good for 190+? This would be important information for people tracking at certain high speed tracks.
