[ASKED] Why can you not just disable the AFM?
Why is there no option to just disable the AFM / V4 mode on the cars. Even if it reset and had to be selected on each start up, the driver should have the choice to turn it off completely.
I understand that it's an EPA tool, probably helps keep us out of a gas guzzler tax or something. But having the option to just turn it off for a particular drive would be great.
Going into Manual shift mode certainly does it, but there are times when we don't want to manual shift but still not have V4 kick in.
Additionally, there are some of us that are fearing the switching is causing other issues that have been discussed in the forums, like torque converter or rear end issues.

This question will be saved and sent to Tadge at a later date, to be determined. As I wrote in the poll thread, Tadge is busily dealing with some non-work stuff at the moment. I appreciate everyone's patience, and I'm sure Tadge does as well.
