Options for C8
Reviewed the beautiful new C8 at a local dealer and got the impression from the Chevy rep that the magnetic suspension and performance exhaust would only be available in the z51 setup. Is that true? I am very happy with these options I have on my C7 (not a Z51) and would like to spec out a C8 the way I did on my C7. Of course I would have to give up my seven speed manual but the new Tremec sounds pretty nice.

The order guide showed the magnetic suspension is only available with the Z51 package and the performance exhaust is available as a stand alone option (but it is a standard part of the Z51 package).

Thanks for the clarification. It looks like a lot of the latitude we had with the C7 has changed. I'm running a base stingray with the magnetic suspension and performance exhaust. It appears the Z51 package is the way you will have to go but it will not be cheap. Of course the old Z51 option had a lot less so I guess we will have to wait for the numbers.
