They are both the same thing only Brown Bread is cheaper. As far as that type of dampening material goes I prefer Brown Bread simply because of the price.
I used Dynamat extreme in my car. I bought it on Ebay for $88 per 36 sq.ft bulk pack (+shipping). Much cheaper than MSRP for Dynamat.
I haven't used Brown Bread, but it seems to be about the same as the Dynamat. Compare the price with Ebay Dynamat extreme to see which is cheaper.
I also put a layer of B-Quiet's Vcomp over the Dynamat...which adds a sound barrier to Dynamat's dampening. The combo is outstanding at sound reduction.
There are MANY brands and all are nearly the same. Does the brown bread have a metal layer? Dynamat Extreme has a metal layer which is what makes the product a sound deadner.
