Default Help me choose a headunit.

Need help choosing a headunit for my 88 c4.

Would like the following features:
CD/MP3
2 sets of preamps
decent amplifier to hold me over until I buy an amp
white, green, blue, or customizable display
Less than $200

I don't have a lot of money to throw at a new stereo, but I can't take the bose anymore. I can't even hear it anymore over the headers and muffler eliminators, lol.

Thanks for your suggestions.

cant help you with under $200 with more then one rca out but if you can swing 230 bucks look at carmedia1.com and check out the clarion secton. there is a pretty good model with the features you want.

Thanks, have been poking around on ebay. Some potentially good deals there. Will have a look at that model.

Check out the Alpine CDA-9827. It is last years model. Usually goes for $249, but I have seen it on closeout for $179 at Ultimate electronics in Austin, and Circuit City. I think that the 9827 is better than the 9847. Also check on Ebay, because I have seen really good deals on slightly used apline units.

Good luck!

Kraco post was not helpful, but funny as hell!!

It reminds me of a car I saw at NOPI this year. He had all JL amps, subs, and components. But it was running from a Jensen HU! I didn't get a chance to talk to him, but I assumed it was a joke.

Here is the Clarion dxz745mp for $199:

I just installed the 845 version with the music catcher and I love it. They claim it won't record mp3 but it does. I have already recorded 60 mp3 to the deck. Cool

Found a good deal on ebay, hope I win. I compromised on a few features due to price, but I'm short on change right now so I'll have to wait to upgrade the headunit in the future. Probably after I rip the blose crap out of there.

Forgot to add that I would like to thank you all for your suggestions, except snoopdan, he can suckit.
