I'm looking to redo the whole sound system of my 01 C5 Corvette and I'm willing to spend a reasonable amount on it. Currently I have a 1 channel Bazooka 800 watt amp with my JL sub with the stock system. I would appreciate to see what you guys done with your aftermarket sound systems and how much you guys spent on it. I would take any suggestions as well and deeply appreciate the help. I'm looking to install a indash dvd/monitor unit and I remember seeing posts about custom din moldings to compliment the one din deck as opposed to the 1.5 gm sizes. Would also appreciate the info as to where you got it. Thanks!
I've got DVD and XM and a screen, but the above equipment adds up to less than $1200. You could get away with a single sub, but will have to add for the wiring.
Not trying to hijack your thread but when you replace the whole system do you run all new wiring are do you reuse any of the wiring already in the car?
I have a very clean, crisp, clear & precise system...
It consists of a :
Kenwood head unit
Zapco amps
Zapco Signal Processing unit
Dynaudio 360 component speakers
JL Stealthbox sub..
The last two pics are of my original system where I had Phoenix Gold Titanium amps & (2) 8" dual voice coil subs.
The system I have now is much much better.
I have tan interior too and i've been debating on going with tan carpet/vinyl for my amp rack or going with a black vinyl... I really like the contrast of the black...your setup looks great!
