This install may have changed my mind about having one sub in the compartment. Did you ever figure out the airspace in these boxes? Are you experienced with this type of box build or could someone who has never done it before build it if they take their time? Excellent looking install and great pics. Just by looking at the pics you posted might make me try to do this. I would just like to know the air space in the boxes if possible. Thanks!

hahaha, blast from the past! thanks for the comments

we estimated the boxes to have at least .80 cubic feet of airspace per side. This isn't the first system I've been a part of building so I think that's a pretty accurate estimate.

You can see pics of the Tacoma system I built before the C5 project here. Kinda gives you an idea of the fab work I've done in the past.

While this was a fairly complex and time consuming project, anyone with basic skills (electrical, woodworking, etc) could pull it off. Just progress logically, take your time, and everything should fall into place.

If you're not familiar with working with fiberglass, maybe find a buddy's car to practice a smaller or easier design box on Try not to drip any fiberglass resin on your car's exterior!

If you have any more question, feel free to email me or post em here. Good luck on your project! I never got to finish the trim pieces to really make the system in my vette really clean (sold the c5 ), but I'd like to see someone take the idea and run with it!

later,
Drew
