C6 sound system
( sounds like something from an Austin Powers movie
)Are there any options from the factory other than Bose
?
No. How bad would the bland bunk bose be if you replaced it with a bad baby blaupunkt MMMM PPPPEEEEE THREEEE ?
ok that was just bad.
Only option would be to remove it

The 1SX (no longer available) is the bottom of the line and has the standard non-Blose Delco system (AM/FM/CD player).
The 1SA package is the next step up and also has the non-Blose Delco system (AM/FM/CD player).
Then there is the 1SB, this is the top of the line option package and you have 2 options for a stereo system with it. One is the DVD/NAV Blose system with AM/FM/single CD player and Navigation system. Then there is the "so-called" premium Blose 7 speaker system. It has AM/FM/MP3/and 6 disk in dash CD changer. Both the Nav Blose system and the premium Blose system have the optional XM satellite radio. You can get them with or without it.
Now, having said that, Blose is Blose and I have yet to hear one that sounded better than two old dogs farting into a mayonnaise jar.
Oddly enough, the Delco HU that comes with the premium Blose system (AM/FM/MP3/XM/6 disk in dash changer) is surprisingly a pretty decent HU and if you want to keep the interior looking stock, you can actually build a good system around it.
However, the Blose speakers and amp stink like a 20 foot pile of 10 day dead monkey butts and falls under the "must get the hell out of my car" category, which I am doing.
Now grant it, some folks will tell you the Blose system sounds just fine for them, and to that I say, more power to them....look, I made a pun!
But to anyone into car audio, it is quite underwhelming and in desperate need of removal, burning, and throwing off of a large, gaping precipice into a smoldering ocean of feces and bile from a thousand bloated Yaks....but don't take my word for it. Listen to one for yourself and make your own decision, although, since you took the time to come into an audio forum to ask if Blose is ok or not, I am just insuring that you didn't waste that time.
Good luck...
