? about wiring powered sub into stock C5 system
After connecting the CS8A5 by splicing into the 4 twiddler speaker wires (as per the instructions) the 4x25W amps going to the twiddlers are working great, but the bass tube itself isn't putting out anything that I can actually hear. Even with the sub gain turned up all the way the tube is almost silent. If I get real close to it with the volume up a good ways I can hear that the woofer in the tube is moving slightly, but it is definitely not amplified. The tube has a crossover that is supposed to send everything below 100Hz to the sub after sending it through a 100W amp.
At first I thought that I got a bum Bazooka on eBay, but now I'm not so sure. Is it possible that the low frequency signal (100Hz and below) just isn't present in the signal that the stock HU sends to the 4 twiddlers? I just thought I'd ask before I try connecting the output from the door woofers to the Bazooka inputs.
TIA
id try the door woofers for a signal
im no expert on this issue as i replaced my whole bose system but i know when i unplugged the small adapter on the back of the radio i could get a full range signal off the front door twiddlers only after i unplugged the processor harness

I'll try tapping into the woofers tomorrow and see what happens.EDIT: Check out post #14 in this thread for my end results
