I finally made my first MP3 CD (650MB) and was able to get 158 tracks (includes one album). If you use a 700 MB CD you should be able to get an additional 16 songs @ 3MB each. I have five more CDs to make and that should be enough music for the next few months of driving without having to hear the same song twice!

Yes...this is very cool! I loaded two MP3 discs over the weekend (had to sqeeze some good drive time in between snowstorms here in Pennsylvania) and thought the same thing...make four more of these and I have 45 hours of music before hearing the same song again!

This is probably the single biggest reason I did not consider the Nav when I ordered my car. 900 to 1000 tracks on 6 CD's
Add an after market XM rec ( NO WART) and what more can you ask for
One of the other threads had a site with all the options listed separately,
On it there was the URB - Navigation - different from the original option and this says MP3. Is MP3 really available with Navigation? I thought that and the 6 cd were lost with Nav. Hope not.
Anyone know for sure.
That is why I am also reconsidering the stock nav system. The ugly wart, no MP3, no DVD, no indication of ability to upgrade to things like NavTraffic, backup camera's etc. I am thinking a good Pioneer aftermarket might be the way to go. The only downside is not being hooked into the HUD but 1 down and 5+ up? Brings a ???? to me on the stock nav system.

You're going to be kicking yourself when the MP3 jukebox that plugs right into the back of the factory nav system comes out. My entire music collection at my fingertips and a nav system trumps your 1000 tracks.

What are you talking about THAT IS MY ENTIRE MUSIC COLLECTION
Anyway I had a year to consider my choices and I am happy with the way it worked out. Yes I would have ordered the XM
from GM except for the wart
