Amp Placement

I'm going to install a Amp in my C5 vert and was wondering if anyone has found a good place for them?

Ive only seen them located in 2 places on C5's
a single amp on the vertical wall over ther large cargo
enclosure or between the forward targa mounts and
the raised lip at the front of the cargo area.

Ive been trying to find out where I can drill screws
into the wall behind the passanger compartment w/o
hitting the gas tank or anything else but noone seems to
have much info.

I have an 01 vert and I put the 2 amps and the eq controller in a custom built box behind the seats under the deck lid that covers the top when it is down, there is plenty of room there

I put mine under the floormat on the passenger side, against the firewall (well against the fusebox and computer module). It reduces legroom by a couple of inches, but is completely hidden, and has a very short run to the battery.

Not sure about a vert, but on my coupe it's inside the back wall facing toward the front of the car (on the opposite side of the license plate/rear taillights).
