Looking to replace my Bose system in my C5 coupe and was wondering what kind of experiance forum members have had with these online stores. acaraudio.com and onlinecarstereo.com.
Thanks for the input, all opinions wanted good or not good,
I would be interested as well. I can save about half the cost of my components if I buy over the internet verses buying from a local store. The only real problem I can see would be if there is a problem with the head unit, or amp, or speaker, you have to pay to ship it back and forth. And that eats up a lot of time. I am going to take my internet prices to my local dealer and see how close he will come to matching the prices. Good luck!
If you dont want to spend the money on a $500 set of comp speakers, Id suggest looking in the sounddomain, elite car audio, or termpro forums. People on there who change their setups alot (like competition cars, demo cars, etc) sell off their slightly used equipment on there for half or almost 1/3 the original cost. I swear everytime I buy something off there, and think I have a good deal, the next day there is something even better that I want on there. Im having to force myself not to look at the classifieds there now
For example, I bought my 2005 CDT Ef6's off of there, with both upgrade kits for it for $150 shipped ($429 new) with 2 year warranty. Now someone is selling some Eurosports on the forums for $170 ($650) But how am I supposed to know someone will put out a better deal the next day? I dont. Thats why I check the classified forums every day. But im a fanatic.
Just google the names of the forums I mentioned for a link.
