Calling snoopdan!!!
I am now ready to secure my Pioneer 47DH in the dash. How did you do yours? Did it require a custom mount kit (as the local Ultimate Electronics is telling me) or can I attach one of the brackets that came with the unit and drill small holes in the dash mount and screw it in?

I used the little L brackets that came with the unit, since the head unit fits snug in my dash. Remember, my car is an 86, not quite like yours. Maybe someone with a C5 and the same head unit as yours will chime in. I was just looking at the same head unit as yours in the dash of a C5 and it looks like there was no kit used, other than the mounting pieces that come with the head unit. You should have to grey plastic L brackets that sort of lock into the side of the deck, and gives you some holes to line up on the mounting holes of the original head unit.
Thats the best suggestion for ya right now, Ive never replaced a head unit in a C5 before.
I can only discern info from what I have used with that head unit before.
