Your best bet would be to first contact Sony with the model number of your changer to see if you can purchase a new modulator. Hopefully you can. If not you might have to get a generic one. Then head to your local stereo shop t have it installed.
You'd have better luck putting those part numbers into ebay, and seing if you can just get another unit. The whole changer and controller couldnt possibly cost more than $70 used. Sony made a billion of those changers, so there is plenty of parts for them around. But trying to contact sony for anyone to help you isnt going to happen. Trust me on this,
Yeah, I had a Sony CDXa10 take a bath too. Sony ignored me, even their authorized service guys laughed at me getting it fixed, or parts for it either. I ended up taking a blow dryer to it, and taking it apart...worked ok for a couple of months after that
