Another HU selection criteria question
I've planned on providing a L & R preamp signal to the amp that'll power my subs. Since I'm going with two 8" subs and have enough power from a 2 channel amp, I wanted to provide a stereo signal to the subs and not mono.
Questions:
1. Can you tell the difference from 8" subs - stereo vs mono? Obviously I was thinking I'd be able to tell . . .
2. If I pass a preamp signal from my 4 channel amp to my two channel amp, is it passing the front or rear preamp signal (or neither) and/or will the HU fade control effect the signal being sent from the 4 channel amp?

what amps are you using?
and in a properly tuned system you shouldn't be able to tell the difference between mono and stereo on the subs.
