Default ?? regarding the Bose system in a C5

My C5 has an after market Head Unit in it, but I don't think they by-passed the Bose sound processing system. My rear 6.5's don't have any bass going to them. Is there a harness that plugs into the factory wiring harness which will allow you to bypass the Bose processing unit? I imagine the speaker leads are outputs off of the Bose. So I'd like to connect the speaker wires directly to the HU without doing a lot of wire butchering. Thoughts?

OK, I read (and re-read) the post by 99HT regarding how the Bose system is wired. Call me slow, but I still don't understand how to make the existing speakers work properly. My 8" subs in the doors do not work at all. And the 6.5's in the rear only have mids and highs. I've read that I may need a PAK-OEM1 adapter and/or a AOEM-VET1, or perhaps a Soundgate GMCRV1. Now I'm really confused. I thought this should be simple. Add a new HU, and have everything work as before, is this possible? If so, what is the correct adapter?

sorry i thought that you had the correct interface. looks like you''ll need one to get the correct signal to the speakers. from what i've heard the soundgate is the way to go.

I stumbled upon something interesting while trying to get my factory subs working. If I connect the Yellow (common) wire from the C4 connector to one of the front speaker commons, guess what? The subs fire. Both of the front 8" subs fire, but they are linked to the side (L/R) that you tied in the common to. I don't know how this affects the Bose processor, but I'm going to leave it as is until I get the Soundgate adapter.
