C5 speaker replacements for front help

C5 speaker replacements for front help
OK i want to replace the stock 6.5 up front only. Two things. Is the stock Bose a plug n play replacement. I seem to recall it's not as easy as that. Next... if i spent 2-300 bucks, recommend speakers and will the stock amp handle it? I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

ok, the 6 1/2" speakers in the doors are the subs, are they "buzzing", or is it the 3 1/2" door speakers?
I replaced my 3 1/2" speakers with a nice pair of 3-way's.
left the subs alone.

subs are 8" and the twiddlers are 3.5" you can replace the twiddlers with a 3.5" speaker and they'll run off the stock amp, but i think they'll be quieter due to the different impedance.
of course i dont have first hand experience with this, i'm just trying to recal what i've read in the past.
are you sure it's the speaker thats buzzing and not the bose logo on the grill? try taping them down and see if the buzzing goes away.

Thanks guys. I didnt even realize there were 2 speakers up there. So i will probably change out the 3.5. I'll also take a look at the Bose logo to see if thats causing it. Thats interesting. Looks like I'll have to do more research on speaker brands.
