C5 stereo upgrade
OK you folks have me totally confused now.
1. Should I replace the head unit?? (If so what do I gain)
2. Want to replace speakers but with what ?? (speakers are important)
3. Maybe later and amp and sub ??? ( I'm old )
4. Keep cost somewhere around 1K.

h/u (alpine, clarion, eclipse) $250
front speakers (cdt) $150

3/4 chan amp: $250-$350
sub:$130
box:$120 (i think they cost around that)
misc wires: $50
also maybe think about a vrumvrum mounting plate to finish off the h/u nicely and maybe some sound deadener in the doors.
i'd do everything at the same time since the car will be torn apart anyways.
