Default How to replace button on C5 head unit?

One button (seek) on my head unit has a scratch on it. I've ordered a new button and looking for instructions on how to replace it.

Has anybody done it? Is it easy to do?

It's very easy. Once you get the radio out, It's just a matter of removing the front.

There are 8 plastic tabs that fit into slots on the radio chasis. Be careful not to break them as you gently pry up on them from the side with a small screwdriver. Gradually work the face off. Once you get the face off, you will have to remove the 8 small screws that hold the circuit board to the face plate assembly.

After you get the circuit board loose, be careful not to stretch the wires as you seperate the circiut board from the face plate. You will then notice a white plastic piece that is attached to the face plate with 2 plastic tabs, one at each end.

Gently press the tabs out of the slots and remove plastic piece. There will be some blue plastic difuser film covering the buttons that will now just lift out. You now have access to the buttons.

They just lay in place, so all you have to do is lift out the one you want to replace and put the new one in it's place. It sounds complicated, but believe me it's really easy.
