C5 radio in C4?

C5 radio in C4?
Wondering if a C5 radio would work in a '96 without too much modification. Has anyone attempted this? The one in my '98 was much better than the one in the '96 and I don't want to lose the SCV - in a 'vert without it I'm constantly having to adjust the volume and it's very tiresome - I would prefer to focus on my driving. I haven't seen any aftermarket units which support the SCV feature yet.
