I have been reading alot of post's, but still can't make up my mind. I recently aquiered an 87 vert. It has the stock Bose am/fm cassette. The casette does'nt work, and sometimes the radio lose's the reception. All the speakers work fine. Should I just gut the whole system, or go for a am/fm cd replacement from mnr electonics?Any adv ice or recomendations would be appreciated.

Well.......,
If you go down the path of repairing the Bose "system" get ready to send good money after bad. The Bose has so many "single point failures" that just when you think you have everything fixed...., the stuff that you fixed earlier begins to fail again.
That is what has always happened to me with the Bose - Even when they were new.
