Can I simply put in a 4 channel aftermarket amp. I would run new wires to existing speaker enclosures, replacing the speakers and DUMPING the bose amps. All I need to know is how the head unit is configured with regard to preamp outputs, somehow i would need to convert this to a standard RCA format for each channel - anyone have an insight ???
Thanks for reply, Jim NY
I would change the head unit which is OK, but I do not think any aftermarked receivers will fit into restricted 6 3/4 opening in dash panel without carving into border material to get a din chassis to fit. I rather not do that.
So inorder to preserve dash integrity, I would get rid of amps and use a RELIABLE single amp.
I dont think I need the power driver, probably just the cables they noted at the link. DO you have any experience is using the exiting head unit and replacing Amp with this equipment ????
Thanks for reply
