flip flop head unit and climate control
I have an AVIC and the screen blocks the air cond vent. How hard would it be to move the climate control to where the readio head unti goes, and then put the head unit where the climate contol was?

It can be done. I've seen pictures here on this forum of such a configuration. I mounted my AVIC using VrumVrum's mounting bracket and faceplate. This mounting allowed the rear of the AVIC to fit in the top of the center consol without cutting the factory sheet metal tray. I would imagine that if you mounted the AVIC in the HVAC slot, you would have to fabricate a support for the rear of the AVIC.
