Default C5 HU upgrade questions

Ok, I have a y2k C5 with the stock bose cd HU. This is a 1.5din sized opening right?
If I switch to a aftermarket HU what features will I loose? RAP? Security system? Remote Lock/unlock? Can any of these features be added back in? I may not be doing an upgrade for a while, but would like to start planning for one.

Thanks, is there any way to get RAP back? Did I see something about an aftermarket device that somehow replicated the RAP function?

I have RAP on my C6 using a PAC adapter.

RAP on a C5 is still a mystery. I'd call the guys at PAC (Pacific Audio Corp.) or try contacting the people who make the Window Valet. There was suppose to be a version 2 that would retain RAP for aftermarket stereos in the C5.

If you plan on using the existing factory Bose speakers you'll need an adapter. I was told that the PAC ROEM-VET1 adapter allows you to retain the RAP function. I've got one on order. So, I should be able to confirm this in a couple of weeks.
