Im looking at bluetooth car kits that will mute the stereo and play through the speakers but have not been able to figure out if the nav radio supports it. I have asked a couple high end car audio places and they both indicated that they thought it could be done but neither was sure. I have email into a few places at gm but so far no one has returned any information. Wish I could be more helpful but thats where Im at on it.
I read earlier that the digital version of OnStar for the Corvette would be available as a dealer upgrade sometime after September 1. When details become available as to cost, etc., I'll make the decision whether to go with it or bail.
Its unfortunate that these things are said because there is no truth to this. We have the analog version of onstar. It is not compatible with the verizon plan to use onstar hardware to access verizon minutes. It will require a hardware upgrade which is very unlikely to be offered as a dealer upgrade. It is possible that you may be able to buy the parts and install it yourself but this would be very unproductive since if your going to pay for hardware you may as well get a bluetooth car kit which would be much more functional and easy to use, will not incur an additional monthly charge (last I read, 20 bucks), and can be used with whatever carrier you choose.

Hey crabman -- any more news on this? I started looking at the Parrot CK3100 system, and it sounds like a good system w/lousy install instructions. It'd sure be nice to know in advance if it'll work. The unit looks like it can be had for $200-$250, which would be well worth the investment to me if I could find a good place to hide the microphone and LCD display and knew that it interfaced easily to the C6 head unit.
