Has anyone successfully hooked up (hardwired) an iPod to a NAV unit with XM? If so, can you point me to some info and parts needed. I see a thread that shows some info, but this owner did not have XM. Not sure what having XM removes from ability to make the connection. Is this something a novice can do or should I take it to a pro? I'll be removing (body shop will) the center console pieces for painting and this is the time to do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks..
I just installed the Soundgate SDSGM2 interface.
I can play my Ipod through the Head unit , I still have to control it with
the Ipod but the sound is 10 times better than FM modulation.
It also seems to play louder than the XM.
I have the C6 with Nav and XM.

Mike,
That does help! Where did you get the Soundgate item and did you do the install yourself? do you have any digital pix to post of what it looks like? Where is the iPod connection interface?
