Default C5 Front speaker question

I thought that the front speaker size for a 2002 coupe was 6.5 but i see 3.5 and then what look like a 8" sub type thing next to it in the door (correct me if im wrong). What can i put in its place? Without any adapters what can i put where the sub is? 6.5? And is that a 3.5 tweeter? Thanks.

a 3.5 will drop right into the bose assembly. that speaker is run from the HU. the larger speaker in the door is an odd size. nothing aftermarket will just drop into place. the best option is to remove the entire assembly and use it as a template. I like to use 1/4 hardboard, but 1/4 mdf will work too. after the template is made, you can fit up to an 8" woofer or a 6.5" and a 4" component set.

Default i could be wrong on this

i was under the impression tthat the rear speakers were 5 1/4 and not 6.5. just another thing for consideration for you front speakers, a 6.5 componet set will sound better than a 3.5 set. alittle bit more money but you will be overall more pleased with the 6.5 component set over the smaller speakers. just a thought, some people just wanna drop the 3.5 inplace because it was there before

coupes have 6.5 and conv has 5.X, for me 3.5 and 6.5 are fine for the highs
