Default McIntosh Car Audo....anyone using?

I was wondering if anyone out there is currently using McIntosh Car audio in their ride, or if you have in the past...let me know what your likes and gripes were.

If you have the money and space, you can't go wrong with McIntosh.

I had some Mac stuff in the 98 Roadster I had until a couple months ago: MX406 HU, MX4000 CDC, and MC4000M power amp (yes, the big one).

2. Cool factor. OK, but only if you're notstalgic, in desparate need to be different, or really thinks it's "cool" to be a snobby audiophile (all of the above in my case).
3. No frills, no bling, no junk.
4. Cool blue VU meters (some might categorize this as bling, but it's actually nostalgia.)

2. MC4000M Amplifier: Although I didn't really use the crossover in it, the amplifier's crossover is not very flexible.
3. MC4000M Amplifier: the sub-woofer channels are not bridgeable. Use two subs, or waste an amplifier channel.

The following were not gripes for me but might be for others:
1. Price (you get what you pay for).
2. Security: no detachable or hiding face.
3. HU mounting - although I didn't try any commercially available HU mounting kits, I don't think it would look/fit well in one (I made my own HU mount AND modified the HU chassis so that it would fit flush).
4. No frills, no bling, no junk.

This is the only pic I have handy.
