I was looking at some Alphasonik car amps today online. Many of them got great reviews from people who purchased them. I was wondering if anyone on the this forum has had any experience with them, or know someone who has? They seem to have descent power and I would like to power 3 8w3's dual 6 ohm VC subs with it.
Nice to see someone had some good results with them. I am just confused on which one to get. I looked at all the descent sites

I want to run 3 8 inch JL Audio 8w3's D6's (dual 6 0hm) wired to a 4 ohm load. They handle 125 RMS...I want to run the amp at 4 ohms?
Either 4ohm or 1ohm.. I would go with 4 and get an amp big enough. I haven't had any experience with Alphasonik. What is your price range? There are many inexpensive amp brands that people have been happy with. Profile, US Acoutics, etc.
In my experience, all the amps mentioned are good cheap amps and work great with 4 ohms stereo. At 4 ohms bridged (actually running 2 ohm stereo) the amps do NOT like that...at all. My USAcoustics amp ran forever in stereo, when bridged, it went up in smoke within 3 days.
A normal stereo amp should quadruaple in power when bridged..ie, a 150 watt per channel amp should put out 600 watts in bridged mode. If the amp does not do that, I highly recommend NOT running that amp in bridged mode.
In your situation, a class D is perfect. IMO, class D is great for driving 99% of subwoofer installs. They have serious output, run cooler than an AB design, and consume less juice than an AB design. I would think any of the class D amps Alphasonik offers would be okay. The wattage on them look outragous but I'm sure that is not a "true" rating. Still, the smallest one PMA800DA would do you just fine at 1 ohm. If you want a totally untaxed system, go with the largest PMA1200 and run her into a 4 ohm load.
