Default Does center tunnel get too hot for wires?

I want to run my pre-amp and speaker wires along the center tunnel, but I've heard people complain in other forums about how much heat comes from there. Does it get too hot for wires?

I've had no problems so far and don't expect to. I would be sure to use good quality wire though.

while you are at it, put some sound deadning on the tunnel. It will help the overall sound and put a little insulation between the tunnel and you wires.
