got everything out but cant find a harness that matches the factory one? Ive got all the connectors out but cant figure out how they match up with this chevy standard wiring harness.
I'm all set to start installing new Pioneer head unit and Pioneer iPod bus adapter in my 94 coupe (waiting for vrumvrum's mount to arrive). Anything that you learned from your install (with the exception of the location of your remote receiver bypass) would be appreciated. Did you run all new speaker wire from the dash? Are you running an amp? What mount/adapter did you use?
If people would share their learnings, we would all be in better shape. Note: a later read of my post made me realize that this sounds rude - not my intention.

Yes, run all new speaker wires straight from the hu. Im running infinity 4x6 up front and infinity 6x9 in back. I got some 1" tweeters(off brand on ebay $3.85, and WOW, lots more sound) mounted on the A pillars on the top. Got my dash kit from installer.com, looks pretty good, but damn tight fit. If you dont have one, get a drimel tool!!!! Will save you some trouble.. Also when drilling out the back plate behind the oe hu wait until you have found out where your rca's are hitting, I had to drill 3 times... Oh yeah the sub, running an alpine sws-1241 with an alpine mrp-350 amp, way more bass than anyone needs, and i love it!!!! Gonna build a coustom enclosure soon, but stock square box works fine. Amp is wired up with 4 guage and a distribution block for when I add an amp for the 6x9's. Hopefully have some pics soon, Ill try and get them posted...
