Default Question about head unit fit in a C5

I looked in the audio thread, and I know that I will need an adaptor to work witht he Bose, but different sites conflict on what will and won't fit in a C5.

I was planning on one of the Pioneer DEH units that are usually an exact fit for the large face GM radio. But some sites say it won't fit a C5

Do these fit ? Anything else I need to do it myself ?

Recomendations ?

I will try to help you a bit by telling you that you can pretty much fit anything into the C5. a single din unit will fit but you will require a faceplate to close off the extra space. there is a forum member here (vrum vrum I think) that sells nice clean ones.

a 1 1/2 din should fit since its the same size as the OEM but there arent many to be found

a double din will fit with some slight modification to the trim and there are a couple threads posted recently including mine where I added a double din HU.

if you look up on an automated site what fits the C5, you will get a typical response that says not much, as its not a direct replacement size but the reality is you can pretty much get anything to fit.

IM not familiar with that specific unit but I cant imagone why it wouldnt fit... good luck and maybe others can help out as well

I prefer a 1 1/2 din to just plug and play. Half the sites out there conflict on what will and won't work...
