Stereo progress so far
I almost forgot to ask you, did you have to move your rear or front mounts around at all when you did your install ??
The Corvette logo in the middle is not the front plate. It is actually clear plexiglass fiberglassed in, then painted around letters(took several coats for the light not to come through the blue) There is blue neon behind that lights up the Corvette letters. There is also other blue neon in the back that highlights the amps and subs. Underneath the Corvette sign is two CD changers and a 15 farad cap.
For the doors and kick panels, I chose Infinity Perfect 6.1s. I got two sets to compete with the 3 12" subs. They do just fine, they get louder than any ears should be subject to. They are crystal clear at high volumes too. Each speaker is getting 160 watts rms for a total of 640 watts of mid/high sound. The subs are getting a tad over 1K watts rms.
I agree, that poor bike....I could give it a good home
Cajundude,

I may have to take a little more of a break because yesterday I entered into a contract to sell my house, so, if all goes well with the inspection today I will start boxing things up pretty quick because the buyer needs to close ASAP. I've been busting butt lookin' for houses. I found about 40 that I like so my weekend will be filled. I may get some time to work on it during the evening hours this week.
Bad thing about selling the house...I just purchase a crap load of hard wood flooring to do the bedrooms upstairs. I'll just have to return it. Good thing about selling the house...there will be a blower in my NEAR future just in time for the racing season. I may even be able to swing a forged motor with it even after paying off all my damn credit cards.
Stupid credit! I'm making a killing on this sale and I have to spend it on that.... The good deal is Discover is waiving interest on all purchases for Katrina victims until February and since my Discover billing address is in New Orleans, blower and forged engine here I come!!!
BTW, what neon sticks do you recommend? Or should I ask EG?

Take a look at the cathode tubes

They give off great light and are pretty inexpensive. I have a pair of the 4" tubes in my car and they are bright.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
This is a pic of last winters project bike.
That my freinds is a turbo charged KZ 1000 STREET BIKE with a 295-50 15 on the back it is 68 in. long and 2in. off the ground.
This bike turns all the heads every where it go's......
This is the resone my box is going to be wraped in leather. There is WAY to much time makeing this bike strait as an arrow.
I did alot of the glass lay up myself witch included molding in the turn signels and headlighs.

The 4" tubes will be plenty bright enough, you may even need to drop the voltage a bit in order to turn down the intensity. Also you can play with different angle led's. They can be used to highlight specific parts of your amp rack.
