Default Re-Wiring Entire 84

I'm re-wiring everything in my 84. The one thing I can't figure out is how to replace the speaker wires on each side door. I can't really seem to get into the door enough to figure out where the two wires flow through. Should I just drill some holes and put in new wire?
Or does anyone know how to get these wires out and find their path?

my '87 had the wires running in the flexible conduit between the door and the door jamb. Same conduit that carries the other power accessory wiring.

if you remove the whole bose assembly/box from the door you should be able to reach in there and get to the wiring loom piece and feed wire through it maybe get a coat hanger through first carefully, or try pulling the kickpanel on the car side and doing that... it might also help to pop the wire loom between the doors off on both sides get wire through then reinstall... sry i know i am not much help if i had a c4 n the garage id be tearin into it for you now

Okay, I figured it out after some HARD work. So for anyone that needs to find this out, I'm telling you now.

First of all, you can't pull of the door enough to get into all of the wires because of all the metal seams that were bolted into the door at the time of manufacturing, so it's a bitch to work with.

-Unscrew everything that is holding on the silver metal piece on the inner side of the door, it doesn't come completely off but it should be able to be pushed back so you'll have room to work with.

-Reach in with a screwdriver (flathead preferably) down the top of the door to unlock the little plastic hooks that hold on the wire connectors, and once you pull them off with the screwdriver you can tug the two pieces apart. This connector should be RIGHT ABOVE the bose box. You should be able to see it from the top of the door in the window slot.

(If you really can't do it, I found out that the bose box is actually glued to the inside of the door, so you can skitch off the glue and you'll be able to rotate the box around which is a lot easier but then you'll have a loose box you'll need to set back in.)

-With the new wire, splice them together with the wire coming out of the amp and through the boot, and flow them down to where the speaker box opening is, and they should be connected there. If there is no flow there, you'll have to unwrap them through the boot and rewire the wires connecting through the amp and then just flow them back through the boot and through the door. Yeah, it's a bitch.

-You should be able to do the same with the back speakers if you're going to rewire those, just test the continuity of wherever and find out which wires are bad, and cut them. Splice the new wires with the old working ones and just hook up the new speaker with some clips.

The whole process took me about.. four hours to complete, nonstop.
But hell, I got it working - and I'm not complaining.

Hope this helps anyone who's re-wiring their vette.
