Last night I saw a Masterminds episode on Court TV that talked about how a guy put halogens lights around his license plate so that when he was being chased he could turn them on and thus keep the police from reading his plate number, and perhaps even keep the police from chasing him too closely because of the brightness of the lights.
I don't want or need to keep the police at bay... I was just wondering if this was legal? Because it might be a great way to keep ******* truck drivers off my bumper.
Simple, drill some halogens into your reverse lights and wire them up to a switch. Aim them directly behind you and turn them on. BOOM! Blinding light!
someone had the idea of using a bunch of IR leds pointed at their lic plate. when the traffic light cameras tried to take a picture, it would get overexposed.... i wouldn't want to get caught with this though; and cop cars have cameras now and the 'blown out' image would appear on their cams as well.
