The face flips when loading CD's or DVDs and the clearance is tight - needs some minor adjustment in the corners and the back of the original cover.
I uploaded an additional picture where you can see how it opens .
Mine is an Auto. You can't load the disc when in park - if you have an MN6 this should be no problem.

see thats exactly what i was concenered about. the auto stick being in way. but i figured you'd have to have it in drive to load disks.

I've seriously considered installing that unit into my '91 but the last time I was in the dash, it didn't look like there was enough room.
I've already cut the back support brace out but the bottom of the opening looks too shallow. Did you have to do any custom work back there? Do you have any pictures of the installation process?
Couple questions for you. Did you replace the speakers (i am assuming that you did) - if so, what did you use for the whole system. Did you put a 4 channel amp inline, and did you attempt to increase the speaker size in the back.
I would also like to know if you purchased a harness to ease the installation process, and how tight the space was in the dash for installation of that bad boy.

I had to cut back the plastic behind the radio. On the picture you can see, what a friend of mine on his '96 GS had to remove. I cut the whole plastic below the air condition holder - not only the marked area in this picture - so there was enough room for all the cinch cables.
Firstly - that looks fantastic.

I know that most of you changed the speakers, because they don't sound very good when using the original GM radio - but with this one - the Bose system get's a wake up!! So I decided to keep the active speakers and the Bose unit in the rear which controls them. However this system doesn't deliver hundreds / thousands of watt of music - if you want this you should change the speakers.
There is a standard adapter cable available for GM Radio. You have to connect this to the cinch cables which go into the Kenwood system. I also put some Video in / out cinch cables in the rear compartment box - just in case I need to have a TFT screen attached or the PS2 ..
However I need a kind of adapter because the system still powers the speakers when trying to shut them of. Due to the speakers being active ones, I have a bang on the speakers when I turn of the radio if I don't switch to "standby" before powering down the radio... I heard that there must be a kind of adapter available for this common problem...
@dnut24:
