Default home made dvd's

those with dvd head units. has anyone been able to make downloaded race videos or even say music videos and put them on a dvd to work like a normal dvd?

i've been trying for the last few weeks to find a way to take downloaded .wmv files and make a dvd with them. my burner came with nerovision express and all the programs associated with nero. i can copy my purchased dvd's no problem and make them work on my kenwood dvd head unit but i can not find a way to make my .wmv converted setup to work on my head unit. however i can make the same converted .wmv style dvd work on my onkyo home player.

just curious if any of you have done this and made it work? sometimes it's nice to have the videos with the music or be able to have home made clips playing. i just can't get it to work on my head units in the car.

you'd most likely have to have the dvd authored in order to have the h/u play it

yeah i've tried conversion programs with authorizing programs as well as menu programs, backwards conversions and almost everything under the sun that is free ware. the only thing i've bought was a complete nero package that claimed to work. the nero will copy purchased dvd's and play them in my head unit without any problems but i can not convert .wmv files to work. even after i convert a .wmv to mpeg2 so that it's dvd compliant nothing helps.

is there anyone out there with a dvd head unit making their own custom dvd's?
