XM Commander power problem
Help! Installed an XM Commander in the '03 Z06 today. Used the PIE harness and adapter from Tuan, followed all the instructions and read all the posts here - thought I had it done. However, with only the orange and black power plug wires hooked up, nothing! So I went ahead and hooked up the remaining red (orange) wire also, although several posts said it wasn't necessary.
Success - XM radio in the "on" position, although not in the "acc" position (?) Also, after pushing the CD/Aux button, the XM radio played but the display still shows a CD palying, with track number! Close enough for government work.
Activated the XM receiver, came back out and turned on the XM - nothing. Crap! Back in the gagage for the night; started the car - after a 2-3 sec delay. Tried several more times with a delay every time. Double crap! Unplugged all the XM power connections and the aux haness connections also. Car starts fine. Any ideas? Happened to anyone else? All suggestions greatfully accepted.
