Hi everyone. I wanted to change my speakers in a 1984 C4 with Bose Speakers. I was very dissapointed, I went to CircuitCity, Bestbuy, and they said that they don't touch vettes. I also called up GoodGuys but they all closed here in California . Where do you guys get your speakers changed?
I was thinking about just changing the rear with stock Bose because they don't work anymore.
Also, My antenna goes up but gets stuck halfway, and the motor on it is still running, I have to pull it all the way up but it still doesn't work. The same thing happens when it is supposed to go down, it gets stuck half way. How do i Fix that?
Each speaker is amplified, you don't just "replace the speaker". this is an all out committment - either get it all fixed, or, replace it all.
Check out the Audio/Electronics section (where this should be, really) and read the C4 Audio FAQ.
From the pull down menu, Forums ==> General Corvette ==> Audio/Electronics.
Unless you want to remain totally original, replace it all. I am going to replace all of mine this winter. I have an 89 and some of the speakers take awhile to kick on and then they don't sound the best.
you can seriosuly do it yourself we will guide you through it... where are you located someone maybe close by to you who is willing to help... I peronally am in the chicagoland area and would help
