Default sub+amp in the trunk?

I have a short question, tried to find it out in here but its a lot of different opinions:-)
I have a 98 vette with a cd changer in the trunk,Im going to put an amp and sub in the trunk also, where is the easyest place to connect those things into the existing harness, before the bose, behind the hu,just connect it to the bass signal cable in the doors or what?

I had a rf modulator tied into the rear speakers for the rca inputs for the amp. That's all i really know, as I had a car audio shop install the wiring. The remote turn on wire came from a fuse in the passenger side fuse box in the floor. Sorry I can't be more technical, bu I'm more into building boxes than wiring systems, lol. Just haven't had the time to learn the wiring schematics yet of car audio.

quick answer which can get you searching even more. You will need to get an adapter (PAC OEM-1) that plugs in between the stock Bose Head unit and the stock wiring. It looks like this.. once you plug it in you can run the RCA's to your amp.. cleanest way to get good sound keeping the Bose and running a sub/amp combo

and this is it connected between as mentioned above

might be a dumb question but,
is the OEM-1 required to add a sub/amp to the C5 Bose system or is it just "another way" to do it?
Thanks

RainJ,

It's the best and easiest way to add an amp. Everything is plug-and-play. I spliced into a remote turn on wire down by the fuse box using a wire tap from Radio Shack. Another benefit is that if you want to return to stock when you sell the car. It unplugs easily.

Thanks for the heads up info -
Ordered the OEM 1 and will just do it the "stable" way.
