I have the RX65 and I love it. To be honest, I have never used a V1, but I have never (knock on wood) been caught off guard with my RX65, I can't imagine a V1 being any better. I like the looks and price a whole lot better than the V1, I got mine off of ebay for 1/2 the price of the V1. I would be curious to see if I'd like the arrows on the V1, but personally think they are overated cause who cares which direction the cop is radaring from, if there is a signal in the area of your car - slow down; when there is no signal alert, resume driving.
But in the end I think you have to realize none of the detectors are fool proof and have limits. With experience though you can learn which alarms are false (alarm systems or automatic doors) and which are legit.

Just a heads up but beltronics is getting ready to announce a new top end detector any day. The NDA just came off and they are on sale in NZ/Aus with an announcement expected any day for the US. Might pay to see what shakes with that one. Even if you dont want it the RX65 should come down a little on price when it hits.
