Just ordered AVICD1 !! what else do I need?!
Hey guys, just ordered the pioneer avic d1 in dash unit. I also ordered the soundgate gmcrv1. anything else I need? I have a 2002 C5. Also, I had the optional 12 cd in my trunk, I am guessing I will lose this?? Though, it wont really bother me. thanx!

you should get another avic d1 wireharness if you want to do the hack so you can watch movies or be able to input gps coordinates while you drive.
you will lose your 12 disc changer, but sell it and use that money for xm

I had one of my local installers tell me that you can steal the pin out of the power antenna circuit if you have a coupe or a ZO6. Have you ever heard of this?

scott fx-- THankyou! I apreciate it. ok, 2 more questions. i heard there will be a problem plugging in the antenna plug because not enough room? do I have to buy anything else for the antenna hook up??
I have read that i will have to tap into some other wires in my cluster in order for the speed sensor?? is this true? will i have to pull apart my instrunment cluster? Thankyou!!!

i'm not sure about the antenna hook up, i don't have fm in my car (computer doesn't have that feature yet...only xm) and the only car i've installed the d1 in is my girlfriend's montero.
you do have to tap into the vss wire. i think it's green/white (not pink...woops)
