need some help
i know the subs have an amp on them but does the twiddlers? are the wires ran seperate or does the wires go through the amp for the subs but never get amped?
i am going to replace them with components next year unless i find a way to buy them in the next month.
thanks for you help
Since you are not going to want your amped signals to pass through the sound processor or door sub amps, your would need to run new wires from the amps far enough to splice into the original wires somewhere after the sound processing and amping occurs. You might as well run new wire all the way.
But then again, I would not use aftermarket amplifiers to drive the stock speakers.
If you only want to add a new head unit and sub at this time, buy an adapter that allows you to plug your new headunit into the current wiring and that also adds the ability to use a aftermarket amp to drive a sub. Then when you are ready to install new fronts and rears ditch the adapter, install the new amps and speakers, and run new wire.

were is the signal processor and amp, i am guessing the processor and amps are in the dash some were. if so that is easy to tap in, if the amps are in the doors then that is a little more difficult and would be easier to run all new wires like you said.
anybody know were the processor and amp are located
oh, this is going in a 2000 coupe
But - if you are planning on replacing the speakers anyway ..
Just run new wires into the doors .. Its pretty easy to do .. tons of room in the door boot -
The adaptor thats worls well is from SoundGate.. about $90- will save you a TON of time ..
