Installing 2 x 12" subs in 1980 rear compartment - is it possible?
Is it possible 2 install 2 x 12 inch sub woofers in2 the rear compartment
wall - the part that is just beneath where the handle is for the curtain/cover - if so any1 have any pics of the completed job?
Or will I have to install a box just in front of the wall?
My main concern is not being able 2 properly store my t-tops if I have 2 go the box route - also ruins the interior / originality
Any useful replies much appreciated
Thanks

Le Mans Master
10" in the corners with fiberglass molded box....amps on bottom and still room to have tops....
u can make a box to fit in the rear compartments and mount the amps to the back wall....easier that way.... 1 jl 10w7 or 1 jl10w6v2 will be enough for bass....

Yeah, you could definitely fit 2 12s if you wanted to. But if I were you I'd just use one, a good one. With such a small cab, you can practically kill yourself with one decent twelve. (Not like the crap that they sell in Best Buy)
I have a custom made box for the rear with one twelve mounted in the center. I'll take a pic later today.

This is what I did quite awhile back. At the time I was thinking of putting some thumpers in but decided against it. Sounded pretty good as it was.
BTW T-tops still fit in.

the maniac, (oh excuse me,audiophile) had two 10" woofers carved into the rear hatches. he burried the spare tire jack and opened the three compartments into one. he did such a neat job that i kept it. with sidepipes and spiral baffles its kind of silly but it sounds great with the motor off.
