IPOD in my C4
Bought this gizmo off of ebay. The arm is flexible and can be moved to any postiion desired. It pugs into the cig lighter, charges your ipod and transmits over the FM band. The frequencies are 88.1 to 88.9, selectable by an easy to read switch on the front of the unit.
If I find an unocupied frequency, it sounds pretty good over the Bose gold stereo. Works very well in the country. In the city, it may require switching frequencies on occasion. I wish it had came in black.
You know, that is a great idea. I have a JVC FM modulated 12 Disc changer that sounds great. Its great but limited to the number of Mp3 or CD files you can fit on the 12 discs. Actually it would hold a lot of Mp3 files, but then there is the "organizational" factor to deal with. I think the Ipod would certainly help to keep the files organized.
Great addition to your car. Yeh it would look better in black, but what the heck.
I had loaded about 900 songs in my Ipod this weekend and most likely I will never use my 12-disc changer again.
I notice that CD-Rs do not last in the trunk mounted changer (must be due to the heat and the dye-based CD-Rs). Ipods are just more fun and I am looking into wiring it into the Vette.
ITrips and the like are ok esp. if you share the ipod among cars.
