Painting Amplifiers
Does anyone have a link or instructions on the best way to paint stainless steel.
Can I sand, primer, paint, clear coat? How many of each?
Which paints work better for this application?
Thanks in advance

im sure that just with any surface, sanding would be required as well as using the right primer for the surface you are working with are ver important. Promoting adhesion is key....show us some pics when you are done painting your amps
It looks great, so far. I will keep you posted.

2. clean with any solvent, i used acetone
3. primer, I used rustoleum gray primer for all surfaces from home depot.
4. I used 1966 Apple Red rustoleum again from home depot. I started with one coat, then two, three. I started having some orange peeling. so I let this dry and sanded.
5. What the heck, i did the fourth and fifth coats.
6. All of these were done very lightly done with at least 2 - 12 hours or more of drying in between. This has been going on for the past three nights.
5. I just started the clear coats yesterday. I put one on last night and I will put on at least one more tonight.
Then we shall see how it looks.
